Sneak Peek!

Yet another sneak peek here! I did a session for 4 youngsters last Saturday, a 17, 15, 13 and an 8 year old. They were a riot! The little guy had so much personality! I was told that while he was getting ready, he was practicing poses in the mirror and telling himself how hot he was. I love kids that ham it up for the camera! Much better than the ones that run and hide!

I'll only post one shot of each, though I'll have you know I'm practicing a lot of restraint here! I'd love to post all of them! I can't wait to get my hands on the 17 year old for her senior shots.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Whoa baby, I was one busy lady this week! I have so many edits to go through that I may never get to leave my studio! First of all, my new backdrop stand and backdrops came in this week. Of course that meant trying each one! I'm just loving this brown!

So with the new stand, I'm on the move! I can pack it all up in my nice little carrying case and cart it off to clients' homes. It's great to be so flexible!

I've been slowly working on the baby's 6 mo photos. Our home is on the market, so that's leaving very little time between naps, snacks, errands and the million other things life throws at me! If I get a free 20 minutes while my 2 yr old is napping, I'll grab the baby and run down for a few snaps! She's such a good sport. Again, I have many edits to get to, but here are a couple I've managed so far!

And going for something a bit moodier... Who knew that toes could be such a constant source of entertainment? I still need to process one of her giving eye contact, but I love the moment captured here.

Okay, my goal for today will be a new profile shot of myself. EEK!! That means doing something with this mop of mine... Ah well, maybe I'll try tomorrow.

Sneak Peek!

I had the pleasure of doing senior portraits for a beautiful young thing this weekend! The camera loved her! We went up to the WSU campus, walked around and shot when the urge hit me. She was a dream to pose--a far cry from my sessions where I'm running myself ragged trying to get a 2 year old to look at me!

There were so many wonderful little nooks, alleys and textures up on campus. I can't want until spring hits us and everything comes to life with greenery. I'll definitely be going back up there!

I haven't even scratched the surface on my processing yet, but here are the first few I've been able to get to. I loved how the light just barely kisses her hair in the first one here.

I finally got to use my 'ugly' chair! She totally dug it and even lugged it up the street to this little spot for me.

A not-so-subtle hint

I was making breakfast and heard my 2 yr old telling the baby to "say cheeeeeeeese!" so I grabbed my camera! You have to feel bad for the children of photographers. EVERYTHING in their lives is documented and shared!

Stormy weather...

Our power went out at about 6:30 this morning! It would come back on for about 10 minutes, then shut off again. It was SO annoying! I realized how spoiled my 2 year old is. She gets a hot breakfast every morning and she was not amused by the cereal I gave her! She held out until the power came back on at 9:30, then devoured scrambled eggs. Silly girl!

While we were without power and electric entertainment (ie, Little Einsteins), I set the baby on the floor for some natural light work!

Yesterday, I was playing with my 2 1/2 yr old and a little gnat landed near her. She jumped back about 5 feet and started screaming that there was a spider! She absolutely insisted that it was a spider and that he was going to get her. She kept her eye on him until he finally flew away. She can be so girly sometimes!

Very concerned about that deadly gnat that was sure to attack!

Keeping her eye on that sneaky devil...
